Pods Alone Are Not Enough: The Three-Layer Acoustic Ecosystem

Most acoustic projects fail because they buy a product instead of solving a floor plan. After outfitting offices in more than 50 countries, we plan every quiet floor in three layers.

Layer one, absorb: sound energy that is not soaked up keeps bouncing. PET acoustic lighting and wall elements cut reverberation time so conversations stop carrying across the floor. Layer two, divide: screens and acoustic workstations break line-of-sight and line-of-sound at desk level, so focus zones can sit inside the open plan without walls. Layer three, enclose: certified pods take the remaining loud or private moments — calls, interviews, deep work — out of the shared air entirely.

The economics matter as much as the acoustics. Absorption is cheap per square metre, division is flexible and moves with the team, and enclosure is reserved for the moments that truly need a door. Buying pods alone means paying enclosure prices for problems that felt would have solved.

This is why BG Acoustics sells an ecosystem, not a booth: one factory, one shipment, one warranty chain for pods, acoustic lighting and workstations that are engineered to work together.
